It was built by don Manuel Guerra Hidalgo, to replace other elizabethan and adjacent to it was known as \u201cTheater of the Jardinillo\u201d. The stage space that was called the \u201cGrand Theatre\u201d, it was built on some of the dependencies of the desamortizado Convent of Santo Domingo, which is still preserved some remains and decorative elements. It was reopened in 1991 by S. M the Queen Sofia. It was built by the landowner and senator don Felipe Gonz\u00e1lez in 1904, the work of the architect Second Viloria Weed, is a representative example of the quality architecture of the early TWENTIETH century.\nThe building is divided in three floors plus basement and rooftop. Their classrooms bourgeois are decorated with paintings of landscapes or scenes of oriental, geometric patterns and floral decorations on the ceilings. On the door of entry are admiring the callers made in wrought iron. This tower is the only thing that's left of what was once one of the castles most sumptuous of Spain, as they bore witness to writers and travellers. At the beginning of the NINETEENTH century, French troops had destroyed and burned. The Caracol Tower, which is the work of s. XVI, mix between gothic and renaissance.
